Fleet MOT reminder template

A useful fleet MOT reminder template records every registration, MOT due date, booking owner and reminder stage so operators can see which vehicles need action before the certificate expires.

Recommended columns

Keep the template deliberately plain. The best MOT reminder sheet is the one someone actually opens, reviews and updates every week.

Reminder timing

  • 60 days: review all MOTs due soon and check garage availability.
  • 30 days: book the MOT or confirm the driver has a booking.
  • 14 days: chase anything not booked or any failed retest work.
  • 7 days: final check that the MOT is passed or the vehicle is not being used.

How Fleetkeep improves this

Fleetkeep can import a vehicle CSV, enrich vehicle details where official UK data is available, and show MOT, road tax, insurance and service reminders in one action queue.

That makes the template a starting point rather than the long-term control system.

Questions operators ask

What should a fleet MOT reminder template include?

It should include the registration, vehicle label, MOT due date, booking owner, booking status, garage note and last checked date.

How early should a fleet review MOT due dates?

A 60 day review window gives operators time to compare availability, plan vehicle downtime and chase failed tests or repairs.

Upload the template into Fleetkeep
