# MOT reminders for your fleet

For small fleets, sole traders and owner-operators in the UK. Track every vehicle's MOT due date in one place. Email reminders at 60, 30, 14 and 7 days before a missed renewal turns into a parked van and a £1,000 fine.

## Why a missed MOT costs more than the fine

The headline cost is the £1,000 fine for driving without a valid MOT. The hidden cost is the rest of the day: the job you cannot do, the customer you have to refund, the second driver sat at home because their van is the one off the road. Driving an unroadworthy vehicle can push the fine to £2,500 plus three penalty points and a possible disqualification, and most insurance is invalid the moment the MOT lapses.

## How Fleetkeep's MOT reminders work

Type a registration into Fleetkeep and the MOT due date is pulled straight from the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service. No spreadsheet, no manual entry.

- 60 days out: early email. Enough time to plan around garage availability.
- 30 days out: second email. Time to book the test.
- 14 days out: third email. By this point you should have a booking.
- 7 days out: final email. Last chance to avoid an expired certificate.

Reminders go to your inbox plus a verified backup contact.

## What you get

- Auto-fill from DVLA
- MOT history with defects via DVSA
- Bulk CSV import
- Plans for up to 3, 10 or 25 vehicles

# MOT text reminders for UK fleets

Fleetkeep is email-first today. It sends MOT reminder emails at 60, 30, 14 and 7 days, shows every MOT date in the dashboard, and supports a verified backup contact so the reminder is not tied to one phone or inbox.

## SMS status

Fleetkeep does not currently send SMS messages. If text reminders would help your fleet, use the feedback page to request them. We are using operator demand to decide whether SMS should be added.

## Why use Fleetkeep instead of a simple text reminder

A single MOT text reminder can work for one private car. Fleetkeep is built for small UK operators with 1 to 25 vehicles who need MOT, road tax, insurance, service dates, mileage notes and garage follow-up in one queue.

# Road tax reminders for your fleet

VED renewal alerts for every vehicle in a small UK fleet. Sourced from the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service so the dates are authoritative.

## Why VED is easy to miss

Road tax has been digital since 2014. The paper disc is gone, which means there is no visual cue on the windscreen any more. The DVLA chases you once, and after that the assumption is that you have it under control. For a one-vehicle sole trader that's manageable. For four vans on different anniversaries it isn't.

Driving without VED is an instant £80 fine, scaling up to £1,000 plus the back-tax owed, plus a possible clamp.

## How Fleetkeep's road tax reminders work

- 60, 30, 14 and 7 days before each VED renewal date.
- Sent to your inbox plus a verified backup contact.
- Sourced direct from DVLA so they match the renewal letter.

# Insurance renewal reminders for your fleet

Track every vehicle's insurance policy expiry in one place. Email reminders at 60, 30, 14 and 7 days, before a renewal you forgot turns into an uninsured day on the road.

## Why insurance renewal admin matters

Insurance is the renewal that auto-renews quietly without your permission, often at a price 20-40% higher than the new-customer quote you could get for the same cover. The reminders are designed to give you time to compare before the auto-renew kicks in.

## How Fleetkeep's insurance reminders work

You enter the renewal date for each vehicle. Fleetkeep emails you at 60, 30, 14 and 7 days. The dashboard shows the soonest renewal across the whole fleet.

Fleetkeep is paid software. Optional partner links may earn us a referral fee if you compare insurance through a partner, but your reminders and fleet data stay separate from those links.

# Vehicle service reminders for your fleet

For small fleets, sole traders and owner-operators in the UK. Set the service interval once per vehicle, then forget it. Email reminders at 60, 30, 14 and 7 days before the next service is due.

## Why a missed service is the most expensive cost you don't see

There is no fine for skipping a service. No DVLA letter, no penalty notice, no insurance gap. Which is exactly why it gets missed. The cost shows up six months later as a no-warning breakdown on the M25, a recovery bill, two days off the road, and a customer who books someone else next time.

## How it works

Add the date of the last service plus the interval in months. Fleetkeep handles 1 to 60 month intervals and rolls forward end-of-month dates correctly (last serviced 31 January with a 6-month interval rolls to 31 July, not 1 August).

- 60 days out: early email. Enough time to plan around downtime.
- 30 days out: second email. Time to phone the garage.
- 14 days out: third email.
- 7 days out: final email.

Once the service is done, update the last-service date and the next interval rolls automatically.
